You can now get sexual health information direct to your mobile phone! Read on for simple instructions.

Our interactive text messaging service - 07717 989 023 - is available from 9.00am - 7.00pm Monday - Friday (closed Thursdays from 2pm - 3.30pm for staff meetings). Please note with effect from Monday 20 February Ask Brook's opening hours will change to 9am - 6pm Monday - Friday.

Text messages are confidential and will be charged at your standard SMS rate. All text messages are answered within one working day.

Please note that for technical reasons we are unable to receive picture messges.

Automated SMS service and details of local services

Quick start

Text BROOK HELP to 81222 or read the instructions on screen below.

For automated information on sexual health:

• Create a new text message, with the keywords 'BROOK INFO'.
• Send your message to 81222.
• You will then receive a list of options of information topics to choose from. Select the number of the topic that you want. Press reply, type in the number and send.

Your text will be directed to an automated service and you should receive a reply within a few minutes.

For details of a local young people's sexual health service:

• Create a new text message, starting with the keywords 'BROOK SERVICE', followed by your postcode, e.g.: BROOK SERVICE SW10 9TH.
• Send your message to 81222.
• You will then receive a list of options of different types of services to choose from. Select the number of the service that you want. Press reply, type in the number and send.

Your text will be directed to the Ask Brook team. We will text you back the details of a service in your area as soon as possible within our opening hours of Monday to Friday, 9.00am to 7.00pm.
